That is correct. God specifically revealed to me that I was selected to be specially trained for a great competition. He never indicated that I would be speaking in tongues.

You misunderstand. The gift of tongues is not God given ability to speak foreign languages. That is not what happened in the scriptures.

So you're saying that everyone that receives the Holy Spirit speaks in new tongues miraculously, initially, but that gift doesn't necessarily continue? Do you have a Scripture to support that?

The miraculous ability to speak in other tongues is exactly what the foreigners observed in Acts 2.
