Not quite 30 years ago, because I was there!!!! i'm not that much over 30!!!
My mother and I were talking about you being there. Wow, what a small world... I saw them not too long ago.... they looked good. It had been about 20 years since I'd seen them and they still looked the same.... I remember you more from when I saw you in central fl... whoa, where does the time go. I still remember the song your wife sang that day. "It's my desire, to live for Him"

WOW - Well - Marie and I have been married 27 years this coming September so that was all a LONG TIME AGO! WOW!
She was such a great singer - then a Doctor scarred her trachea and scar tissue started growing - 13 surgeries later - they cut her throat and took an inch of her trachea out - along with her beautiful laugh and singing voice! I weep every time I think about it. We never got a dime because of the ways the crazy malpractice laws are in GA. Even though she cannot sing - or laugh with that incredible laugh she had - she is still a worshiper and tears up the Hammond every Sunday! I love her so and she sure has been through it. There were many times in that horrible year that I thought I had lost her. She just could not get her breath and would start to pass out - I would have to rush her to the hospital for another operation.
But - she survived and she is well today and I thank God for her!

Oh I'm soo sorry about that. She has a beautiful voice. That's great that she plays. I didn't know she did... It is a blessing for a minister to have a wife to play music for him, even when he can play himself. I love backing up my husband when he preaches.....the only problem is, is that I'm not black enough for him....lol....

LOL - That is SO FUNNY as Marie is not nearly BLACK enough for me either. I have to TELL HER - I AM IN THE KEY OF C! LOL I know exactly what key I am preaching in and can play for myself sometimes!!!!!!!
She is still stuck back in the 70's as far as that old Deliverance style. I am much more black style - having been around the COGIC a lot and Andrae Crouch.
