Jermym, I suggest you go study what the Framers meant by executive action and its limits. There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the president the power to make any decree he wishes.

It's not about any decree he wishes, it's about doing what he can. You'd rather have an impotent President held captive by a do-nothing congress.

I'd rather have a President that sees what he can do about a problem and at least try to do something about it.

The tax-loopholes problem has been a problem forever. If it can be fixed, and if it can be fixed legally using the Constitutionally-granted executive action powers, why not fix it?

I'd rather the Constitution be followed. Our founders built all these speed bumps into the process intentionally.

And the Constitution allows for executive action.

Well, apparently he now thinks he can. We have not seen even the tip of the ice berg friends.

They need to do something about Executive Orders for any President.

Odumdum doesn't know what he's doing any way. Let him issue the executive orders and then let his actions backfire. It will just prove how dumb he is.

Again, not on everything. If you would read what the Founders had to say about things instead of interpreting everything through your man crush Obama lenses you would know that.

Again, what Senator Sanders was trying to enlighten the President about concerns what he was indeed able to do by executive action concerning tax loopholes for corporations.

Re: Obama to unilaterally raise taxes (L)

Jermyn, do you understand that when corporations pay increased taxes, it simply gets passed onto their customers (usually us)? So in effect, corporations don't actually pay taxes, they collect taxes from us for the government. Increasing taxes on them, just makes us pay more for goods.

Re: Obama to unilaterally raise taxes (L)

are you suggesting that corporations shouldn't be taxed at all then? I think that if we would leave corporations alone they would do right by us in the end.
