Is this a UPC forum? Or one that encompasses much more?

Yes, there may be those who appear to be picking on a group, but could you overlook that and address the remainder of my post? Even when some may appear hung up on their former group, it doesn't mean they cannot have any valid thoughts.

Personally, because ILG purposefully targeted the UPC in the post, instead of saying anyone in any church can fake it....I don't care what other points she has which may be valid.

Well, one of the admins posted on the discussion and did not chastise her for such. I do not see it as UPC bashing. Maybe some do because of other posts as well? I don't know as I don't read everything.

If one wishes to speak of continual things, this forum appears to freely allow atheists and agnostics to call into question the Bible, faith and more. It appears to be on pretty much a daily basis.

I attend a different church now and there just isn't the pressure, or even expectation to look or act the part.

Most other churches, are not so focused on who is "in" and who is "out". Regardless, ANY church, that has a way that people can be "in" simply by following rules, can just fake it all.
