I believe that TM's family met with the Mayor, not because they knew it was TM's voice on the 911 call, but because GZ had a gun and TM did not. GZ was older and he was not black. Self-defense was and is not an issue for them.

I understand "denial" and grief, trauma, plus the anguish and agony they must feel having lost their child; but at some point, they must know and admit that GZ was defending his life that night. Don't you think?

I guess I'm wondering if their pain has caused them to convince themselves that GZ gunned down their son in cold blood; or if they are cold-hearted enough to continue this charade for the money and the cause. I guess we'll never really know for sure.

Root turned out to be a pretty good witness for the Defense. In fact, the Prosecution turned out to be very good for the Defense. They (Pros) were quite helpful in many ways, much to their dismay, I'm sure.

O'Mara has integrity. Perhaps that's why those thoughts entered my mind. Plus he knows he has a strong enough case to win despite the Dirty-Dog Prosecution and Judge; so he was kind enough to give fair warning. (Key word: "FAIR")

The Judge questioning GZ is inappropriate, heavy-handed, completely biased and IMO unconstitutional.

She is placing an undue burden on GZ to testify, regardless of whatever else she tries to say.

Camera is on Angela Corey, who has a smirk on her face. Smiling. Smirk it up, chuckles. Why the Defense hasn't named you a witness is likely only due to the fact they can't because of your role as "Special Pros."

Because now she is clearly working for the Pros. They failed to bring the case. Angela Corey and the Governor will have egg on their face if they cannot get the Jury to return with a guilty verdict. The Judge is doing this to pressure him into taking the stand, hoping that the Pros will be able to rattle him and make him look uncomfortable or saying something that the Jury will view unfavorable to GZ. She's doing this publicly, with national TV stations broadcasting and international internet feeds. GZ is not sequestered from viewing the news, he can see if there's a negative opinion of him refusing to testify.

This Judge is giving him little option but to testify. And that is why it's completely and totally inappropriate for her to be doing this; and why IMO it's violating his constitutional rights.

I'm wondering what the Defense can do, legally speaking, since she's keeping them in the courtroom past the time other courts close and Judges leave.

Keep objecting, DQ, it's all you can do since you have no case on which to stand. Plus, all these objections, IMO, start looking to the Jury as though the Pros is worried about the question and possible answers. Too many objections make the Jury object the objector.

Listen to O'mara responding to the Judge...both he and West sound completely defeated when addressing her.

Did something change in the legal system? Is the burden now on the Defense to prove innocence beyond a reasonable doubt, or is it still on the Pros to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt? Because this Judge has turned it on its head. Her rulings, actions, tone of voice, etc have put the burden unjustly on the Def.
