Remember the female witness, Jenna Lauer? In her testimony, she said the first noise sounded like kids playing basketball on the concrete...O'mara asked her if it sounded like sneakers on concrete, and she said "Yes.....well shoes."

In the crime scene pics, TM is wearing sneakers; in the pic you posted above, GZ is wearing what appears to be either boots or doc martins with a thick sole.

Point being this: the initial confrontation was described as movement that sounded like someone playing basketball on the concrete. GZ's shoes likely would not make the, for lack of a better word, squeaking noise like a sneaker would.

Combine that with the stains on the knees of TM's pants and the lack of any stains on GZ's pants.

The person with the dark clothing was on top and person with lighter clothes on bottom.

The Pros had to know what the testimony would be. The witnesses have to give a deposition to both sides, and we've seen what the Defense has done to the two witness who changed their story from what they said in the deposition.

Also, if the wit goes off script from what the Pros expects to be said, the Pros can request to either impeach the testimony or question the wit as a hostile witness....which allows a lot of leeway in questioning the wit.

Wait, I thought Good was the first guy on the scene. But on his 911 call he says, "there's a guy with a flashlight out there," and then a second later he says "there's a couple guys with a flashlight."

What John Good was able to say:

• He heard noises
• He saw clothing - dark on top, red on bottom
• He saw light colored person on bottom
• He said after the shot, there was a guy with a flashlight who came. (I thought I'd heard Good was the first to the scene, that was incorrect.)
• Scuffle moved from grass to sidewalk. On grass, both people were laying completely horizontal. On sidewalk, the person on top was straddling the person on the bottom.
• Entire time, both on grass and concrete, the person on top was wearing dark colors; person on bottom was wearing what appeared to be red top.
• When on concrete, person on top had arm movements "downward" but cannot say if person was striking the person on bottom.
• Person on top "looked to be doing MMA-style ground and pound"
• What is meant by MMA-style ground and pound "When the person is on top in a mounted position, dominant position. Person on bottom is able to get out of position or throw punches, but I did not see any of that."

What John Good was not able to say:

• He could not confirm person on top punching the one on the bottom (though he described it as like "MMA" mixed martial arts)
• He did not see the shooting - he went back inside to call 911
• He said he "saw the person on the bottom and heard someone say help."
• He did not see anyone getting their head slammed on the concrete
• He did not see anyone getting body slammed to the ground
