Christians must recognize that this is our Christian D-Day,
that the battle for soul of this nation is at its zenith,
that now is the time to come out of our caves,
that the future of Christian-America lies in the hands of the church,
that singing Christmas carols in our church is not sharing the Gospel.
The times, and our Lord, demand so much more.

Sounds familiar. Like what I've heard every year of my Christian life.

When Jesus, and the apostles, shared the gospel, signs and wonders, healings and deliverence followed. Today, the building-based 'church' entertainers will read one or two scriptures and give a short talk about life, stage elaborate plays about the bible, entertain with choreographed dances, blaring rock music and professional preachers attempting to advance in their denominational organization....but no signs and wonders, healings and deliverences.
If the power ain't there, there will be little or no change no matter what we do.

So what should be done, IYO?

OUCH!
I suspect somebody just got their feelings hurt!
There's so much truth in this post. And yet...I don't think this has been an "intentional" maneuver, rather, it's just HUMAN NATURE trying so hard to help God shine (as if He needs help) that we lose sight. We are so noisy, so distracting, so planned out, so programmed...we don't give God time to ENTER IN.
Help us Lord...
Someone on this forum posted this link not too long ago... It is so timely. Listen to it all! The ending is very powerful.

What you described is called church building leadership skills.
