I remembered 5 of them too.
I remember feeling a sense of almost reverence for the playing of the national anthem when the channels would go off at night-- around 2 or 3 am I think.
One thing I remember that goes way back is squirell nuts candy.
I vaguely remember when there were a whole lot of different Pepsi's and Nehi's.
I remember watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the shadowed outline of his face and gut. Honestly, it kind of scared me-- the shadowy presentation of it along with the music. "Dun dun. Duht, duh, duh, duh, duht, duht duh? Dun dun."
I can remember when there wasn't a FOX News.
I can remember when the FOX Network was brand new to my hometown. They bought WTTG channel 5. I can remember a lady named "Lark" as one of the news ladies and I can remember when they weren't known as being "right-winged".
I remember Maury Povich being on Fox with his t.v. show, "A Current Affair"-- which was a news-oriented reponse to, "Entertainment Tonight" which both came on at 7:30pm. We couldn't watch "Entertainment Tonight" because, accoording to Mom, it was "yucky". She did, however, let us watch "A Current Affair."
