Yes, although if the gov really came knocking on my door I doubt I have enough personal firepower to keep a few squads of marines (or even national guardsmen) at bay along with their tanks and shoulder fired rockets. My Bushmaster AR is good but not that good.

What I could keep under control however are a half a dozen gang bangers who decided they would have a fun evening robbing and looting our house. Even then I would reserve the kill shots for anyone who actively tried harming my wife.

I'm pretty sure god will protect us and that if we had full trust in him we really wouldn't need guns. But if we would rather rely on the protection of a gun we will just have to be limited to the means of a gun and most likely die by such.
