How can I dodge something I didn't know was thrown at me?

Actually most of the colored shirts I have were gifts. I prefer white shirts, but I do wear colored ones occassionaly

I haven't really notice you not being a gentleman. You do ask a pointed question here and there, so perhaps that is his concern.
