At 2,757 posts and an average of 4.2 posts per day, I don't see myself as an obvious contributor or detractor from AFF. I don't read most threads. I wish there were a Bible study thread, where passages could be looked at, one at a time, one per day. But the debates have gotten boring to me, too. When I mentioned contending, it was TIC, not meant to insult or offend anyone.
Well, even Bible Study passages. Ignorant Bob and Hyper-skeptic Joan will have two varying views -- as well as everyone in between.

Last I checked, AFF has a big WELCOME Mat posted at all times. Nice try, Scotty.

That said, AFF is a place people can go to weigh out those questions, even if it doesn't become their life 24/7. And the ideal is to have a few voices these can interact with. I think AFF is about 80% lurkers (admin can confirm), and that's probably who gets the most value from the interactions.

Sabbaticals. Breaks. Stepping away. Small doses. Do what you have to. Sometimes this deep reflecting is only in seasons. I get that.
Works for me. I don't want to be callous, unkind and impatient, but I had felt some of that taking me on and I need a break. I don't even post on my political forum anymore, so I'm taking a break from more than one arena.

If there is anything we need more in this world than ever before, as we see the day approaching, is patience, kindness and unity.

  • Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  • That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  • That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

If these truths are allowed to be openly denied, then the forum is not an "Apostolic" forum.
Stephanas,

Discussion and debate have been allowed as far back as the FCF. However, THIS is not allowed:

"We do not, however, give place for the tearing down, the disputing of, or destruction of, Apostolic doctrine, the Apostolic ministry, or the Christian faith in any form. The propagation of any doctrine that is contrary to the Apostolic doctrine is not welcome here."

It is up to the admin to determine if someone is "tearing down" or destroying Apostolic doctrine, rather than just discussing it.

Please report posts you find offensive, and we will review them accordingly.

No, everyone is on the planet is welcome to post here. I'm no admin but that's the way it's always been - even in the various predecessors to this particular forum.

Also, concerning Steph's statements, he is just making the usual "One Stepper" application to the forum "Rules." What he is quoting isn't really a "Rule" - it's just the "Identity" label that the forum bears.

I happen to believe what Steph quoted and yet someone like the poster Kyle Stout who started this thread would probably say that I too am an "Ex- Apostolic."

I agree, PO.

I used to be politics 24/7 just a few years ago. I may have turned on a political blog or program once in the last two weeks. That's about my frequency. My interest has waned.

ummm, you took that backwards. the scripture is the reason (IMO) for leaving. to the consertatives, AFF has not accepted them so they have dusted off their feet and left. Just as scripture instructed them to.

You post on political forums, Pressy? I didn't know that you were even interested in politics.
