I've noticed several people mentioned 9mm handguns. 9mm can be too "hot" for home protection. I've read where Delta Force and the FBI Hostage Rescue Teams stopped using them because in a confined space ( such as an airplane cabin) the rounds would go through the perp and injure innocents. I think they use .40 cal. now. FWIW

I carry a firearm as a part of my job. I have no problem with someone defending their home if need be.
