Re: American Idol

I can't believe they voted Michael off. I just knew Megan would be in the bottom 3 and then she would be gone. And they could have saved him. He did really good tonight. But he is in the top ten and that is great for a hometown Jasper/ Sulphur boy. I am sooooooooo proud.

Re: American Idol

I think Michael's happy to go. Matt looked like he was about ready to cry or puke, or both; whereas Michael was relaxed and didn't seem too fazed by getting cut.

Probably because Michael knows he not that good while Matt had a great performance and was shocked to be there. I think it was a total shock for Matt but Michael expected it.

Michael may not be the best technical singer. But he had one of the best hearts. I enjoyed his time on AI.

Matt needs to change his appearance and get the growth taken off his forehead. I keep waiting for that thing to blink...

I do however like his singing.

Megan should have been the first one gone a long time ago. She absolutely positively cannot sing and should not have made the finals. That she survived after her "Rocking Robin" debacle is amazing. She has one of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen on TV but this is not a modeling contest. Besides her face is countered by the nasty all arm tattoo she insists on baring every performance.

As usual Danny was stellar. For the first time I was very impressed by Matt. I thought Anoop Dog did very good and the little sixteen year old with the voice of a 65 year old smoker is amazing. I always loved "Papa was a rolling stone" and she did the song justice although she did mumble a lot in the middle which made me think she had forgotten some of the words.

Lil Rounds was the biggest disappointment. My expectations for her on

Motown night were great and I thought she sounded terrible. The song was way too wordy to show off her vocal skills.

Lil Rounds and her thug personality will hold her back from winning. She can't say a sentence straight. Someone needs to coach her on how to talk.

The song, her look and her attitude were all wrong this week.

Out of all the Motown songs she chose that!

I thought Adam was the best and that was the biggest surprise.

He did the right thing by trying to look like Motown.

He had his Elvis look on....

Danny needs to stop trying to sing like he is leading praise and worship for the church.

He needs to sing as if he is singing a real solo.

Let's see him sing a slow song and show he can really sing.

As for Danny's look he needs to change his look big time...

Adam's performance was very polarizing. My wife and a local radio personality loved it and raved about it. My daughter and myself did not care for it. Singing in falsetto at some points in a song can be good but to do the entire song in falseto was not good in my book. The boy can sing but I did not care for that performance. He sure did look better though!

As far as Lil Rounds not being able to win with her attitude that is not accurate because Jennifer Hudson won and her attitude stunk and still does. She also was somewhat ghetto. So was Fantasia.

My thoughts exactly. I am sure the problem now is that he cannot have it removed during the comptetition because it would take time to heal.

It drives me crazy. I try not to look at it but being right dead center of his forehead it just draws your eyes to it.
