Toys From Our Childhood

I was just thinking about all of the toys we used to play with when I/We were kids.
Remember Clackers? I use to bang up my arms with that thing.
Hands Down, Cherry Pick, Kerplunk?
Kenner toys?

My daughter has an Easy Bake oven that I know was around when I was a kid.

Do you remember any other toys that you use to play with?

I'm probably the only one who had a brown hair, brown eyed, freckled face Chatty Cathy. I believe she was the first talking doll. It was 1962.

My wife still has her Misses Beasley.

I remember the clackers. That was before people held others responsible for their own safety.

Probably my favorite... I had the whirly bird helicopter
  • Rock'em Sock'em robots.
  • There was a game where you all started your tops spinning and they battled in an arena.
  • Stretch Armstrong
  • Hot Wheels
  • Etch A Sketch

Re: Toys From Our Childhood

The Cocopah Indian Reservation my grandfather lived on in the dunes or Somerton, AZ!
No electricity,
adobe huts,
raising chickens,
pulling big hairy spiders out of my shoes every morning,
making my own toys,
walking 4 miles into town to watch "Lost in Space, Capitan Nice, and Mr. Terrific" in the window of the furniture store in downtown Somerton, AZ!

Ah, those were the days!
