Anxious to hear if everyone is safe. The pictures the TV is showing are pretty grim. It looks like Beaumont area took a beating and the news said that Lake Charles got flooding that topped Rita's.

Re: Hike away from Ike?

My neighbor said it is impossible to get to my house from either direction.

One neighbor that rode it out said trees are down everywhere. Waiting to hear if my house made it through ok.

In fact we have two houses one in Houston and one near Beaumont. Don't know anything about either.
