Re: Hike away from Ike?

I am believing for protection for our property and that of our neighbors. Whether we lose power or not, the name of the Lord will be praised.

Thing that makes this insipid is the storm surge will be the equivalent of a Cat 4 or 5...

Re: Hike away from Ike?

My daughter just talked to her cousin who lives in Houston, they left and went about 40 minutes inland to stay with friends, I guess where they are they are under a curfew. They didn't want anyone out after 6:00 PM.

It is really sad though, her (my daughters) grandparents live in Baytown, right on the water, in a mobile home. I guess they were told by the authorities to take anything that they wanted to keep when they evacuated, there was no hope that anything would be left when they return.

Made it to Shreveport.

I am now hearing that Port Arthur is expected to get pounded.

True, but we need to use common sense.
