What Is Your Baptism Story?
Share your baptismal story on this thread.
When were you baptized?
Where were you baptized (both geographically and baptistry, creek, etc)?
How old were you?
I was baptized in Jesus name when I was 8 years old in Alaska in the church baptistry. I was baptized by Pastor Shoemaker and a few months later received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues at the age of 9.
Somewhere I have a picture of my baptism but I have no clue where it is. Hopefully I will find it.
By he way since I am 48 years old that means this year was my 40th baptismal anniversary!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
I was baptized in Jesus' name, in a stock pond in Savoy, Texas, in 1957, by Bro C.T. Watson. I was ten years old at the time. I remember the water was sort of red from the red clay, and the mud squishing up between my toes. I was a bit scared. I received the Holy Ghost baptism in July 1958, during a thirteen week revival held by Bro Verbal Bean in Irving Texas, at Christ Church, the same church which Bro Jack Dehart pastored for many years, now pastored by Dan Dean, I think. That's almost 51 years, Praise God!! .

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
1983 I was 19 at the annual Church Business Meeting.
The water was cold so I did have stammering lips!

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
It was in 1980, and I was 9 yrs. old. Recieved the Holy Ghost couple of months before, at my grandfathers church in Miss. Pastor Kenneth Rocko baptized me in a cow pond, on a Sunday afternoon. It was squishi stuff between my toes, and it was not mud!!

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
11.5 years before I ever attended an Apostolic church.
I was 18. In a church "tank" in the basement. At around midnight. Only 3 people total present.

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
I was baptized in the church baptistry in May 2003 at the ripe old age of 61. My daughter laughingly told the pastor that he would have to have the water changed since I had so many years of sin to be washed away. Ironically, the baptistry developed a crack shortly afterward and a new one had to be installed.
