Don't know anything about that service.... Must have been one I missed. Didn't hear anything said about it either. Were you there? In fact, I've heard nothing derogatory or negative about our recent revival with Brother Willoughby -
As far as when the offering was received - it was a Sunday morning. There was no hype, no throwing money (or corn) at the congregation - just a sweet presence of the Lord. Pastor just told us that God had impressed him that we were to give a special offering to Brother Willoughby. I've been in this all my life and I can honestly say I have never experience exactly what I felt in that service and then the evening service when they gave the check to Brother Willoughby. It was definitely a "God thing" and not contrived by any man!

That's awesome.

Yes, Sacramento is well known for its fine shopping. Not.

That mad me so mad because, unlike him, I've actually worked a regular job in the "world" and know how hard it can be to make a buck. If I'm show up and I walk down there to give my money earned through the sweat of my brow then I'm being plenty "worshippy enough" and don't need to do a jig for the dude in a suit on the platform who lives off my offering. I turned to TG and said, "Dude, I hope you'll still be my friend but I'm leaving and I'm never coming back." His jaw hit the floor and my wife and I got up and walked out and we've never been back in ten years. I'm sorry to hear that sort of stuff still goes on. It's shameful. Thankfully the Lord has led me to more appreciative churches since then.
Sorry Sweet Pea. I hope you still love me.

Can't say that I recall any service like the one you reference - where we weren't "worshippy" enough during offering. Of course, sometimes I miss service - Sorry that you felt you had to leave and never return.
Yes, I will still like you!

Re: No Limits Conference Speakers?
Hmmm....it was pretty common back then. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the reason I left. It was the straw that broke the back so to speak.
Ah, you LIKE me but you don't LOVE me.
Maybe I'll come back and visit soon. That'd be fun. I'll have to talk to my therapist.

Yes, I will still "love" you. We would love to have you come back and visit us! Maybe you'd like it so much you would decide to become a regular! Just make sure you are talking to a "Godly" therapist!

Re: No Limits Conference Speakers?
Ha! I wouldn't count on that!
My therapist is a trinitarian, is that godly enough?
I'll make deal with ya. I'll come on Sunday night and sit in the NE corner (near an exit in case NH decides to call me out ). I'll do that if you'll come over and tell me who you are. Whatcha say there Sweet Pea?

Yeah, I get the impression that she's not very "faithful". I don't know, it's just what I'm feelin'.
