I know this wasn't a story written in the first person and for that I apologize....but you gotta admit it is funny!

My parents use to make us answer the phone "Hurst residence, Renda speaking."
So, one night I knelt down to say my nightly prayers and said, "Hurst residence, Renda speaking."
My parents about lost it and we couldn't even finish out our nightly "now I lay me down to sleep" prayer.
When I think about it, it was quite appropriate - - I was just giving God a heads up as to who was about to pray - - lol!!!!

Somebody screamed "fire", I suddenly awoke, looked out the window and saw smoke!!!!
I did what any "hero" would do, I climbed over my girlfriend, pushed people out of the way, and made my way to the front. 1. I'm an idiot
2. Follow me in an emergency, I won't help you, but I will show you the way!!!!! LOL

OMG I totally remember this...we were all laid out because we were laughing so hard. None of us knew that your short little legs could move that fast.....too funny!!! I humbly bow to the "Brother-Hood"...lol
