He that is without sin cast the first stone. I wish you guys could see how you are making yourselves look on this thread. No one has said he's a good example of what a Christian is. People are just showing their support for him praying on television.

The longer I stay on this forum the more I realize that we have entirely too many people in our movement who think much higher of themselves than they should. LOL!

THIS thread? I speak of THIS forum.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Thank you for clarifying. I agree that there are many on this forum who attack any part of the Church and its practices as they can find. The Lord showed this to me a few weeks ago and I started a thread on it. I have decided to purposefully distance myself from people I feel fall into this category, one of whom tried to say that I was attacking him for letting him know how I felt about him.

While praying maybe good all the goodness he prayed seems to turn my stomach after his raunchy mouth takes over and the cussing starts coming out of the same mouth who prayed 5 min before.

And once God unplugs their noses, they are going to realize that they stink.... Or maybe they will think the stench is coming from someone else.

That's because we've been conditioned to see the evil in people and not the good. We see the evil in people as being stronger than the good in them, not realizing that it only takes a small amount of light to overcome a large amount of darkness. I believe this is a byproduct of hundreds of years of the church being more focused on Hell than Heaven, but that is a topic for another thread.

This is just my opinion, but I think the Church could use some reprogramming in a couple of key areas. We are too focused on the evil in people and not the good that is in them. If we could learn how present God to people in such a way that we build on the good in them, rather than using God to tear down the evil in them, I think it could revolutionize evangelism. If we build on the good in them the evil will naturally fall off. Then again, what do I know? lol

It's centuries of catholic influence. At least catholicism give people a chance for redemption after death.

True. Sounds like we kept a lot of the bad in catholicism and didn't keep enough of the good!
