I am not comfortable with "lazy" being in the list above.

that label gets slapped on a lot of Pastors wives who do not do much around the church. Often that is by design in that the PW and the Pastor want her to take care of their home and the Pastor....just my thoughts.

To True too....

When I use the term I am referring to the Home too.. They don't cook... clean.. or do much...House is a mess.. the Pastor not only pastors but is chief cook and bottle washer too...

but it may be that's the way it is... Probaly gettin' a little too judgemental for a Friday... Maybe I'm havin' WholeHearted withdrawels... Hehehe...

I agree that the pastor's wife should take care of the pastor's home and take care of the pastor - just as other wives should take care of their husbands' homes and take care of their husbands. On the other hand, I believe that God has a job for everyone in the local church. I think that people who criticize pastors' wives for not doing much around the church need to ask themselves what they're doing around the church.

Let me ask this...

I could see someone earning this title by working hard at home and at church.. but are they just entitled to it by being married to the Pastor?

Does your Pastor's Wife call herself Pastor?
My pastor's wife (that would be me *ahem* ) does not and never has given herself the title or the position of Associate Pastor.

The position or title is not/should not be automatically assumed just because she's the pastor's wife. There would have to be gifting, calling, desire and mutual endorsement by board and congregation.

In some countries they call the pastor´s wife pastora (fem. term) but as a term of respect for her but not that she is a pastor or co pastor.

Well, I'll tell you what...you go ahead and stand up for the folks that need to communicate how bad their pastors' wives are. Since there are so many folks who feel a burden for that ministry, there ought to be one or two like me who will voice the other side.

I'll go ahead and stand in the corner of those precious, hard-working, Kingdom minded ladies who do so much an get scant credit for it.
