Having honest discussion is important, so I was puzzled why he was bringing up an issue that wasn't even mentioned by you as if you had.

Good lengthy post up there, BTW. I wanted to tell you, but didn't want to quote it....LOL!

I don't blame you, that would have been awfully long to repost.

That would be so helpful to the discussion at hand.
Rabbit hole?? Funny! Had to go home from work at some point. Computer at home is not running right.

I was using dress standards as point of referance to argue my point of Grace and Mercy. I was not meaning to make it seem I was pointing a finger at you about the dress code. My mistake, did not explain the reason I brought it up. Most people that say grace and mercy is conditional often point to dress standards though. It was a great post though, kudos.

Also what you so greatly provided about grace shows that God will give grace to many different people. The agrument at hand is if God gives grace to those that do not follow a dress code. He gives grace to the Humble, which says nothing about dress standards.

You are trying to draw a line that says those that do not follow a dress standard can not love God, be humble, show mercy, we are not "lowly", and can not walk uprightly. These are alll very very wrong.

You put the verse in II Corinthians 6:17-18 that tells to not touch any unclean thing and separate ourselves from "them." Separate yourself to God not stick out like a sore thumb. It is childish to think that God has become some type of task master and says, "you gotta look a certain way, dress, etc." If God wanted for all of us to be cookie cutter pentecostal christians then why did he makes us so different?

I haven't seen anyone on this thread say anything you claim about grace and mercy being extended to those who follow dress standards.

You also accused Roxanne of bringing it up then claim you weren't pointing a finger at her about it.

Are your eyes on straight? LOL!

Please reread my last post. I was stating that grace and mercy is unconditional. She listed verses that made an attempt to say differently. I used the dress standard thing as an example. I never said she brought it up. I said that I was using it as an example. In my original post I did not let her know I was using as an example to show how grace and mercy works. There are some cons that do not show mercy or grace towards a dress standards. The libs refer to God's great grace and mercy to show that the is no real dress code.

I did not write it how I was meaning to come out. I did not mean to point at her like I was saying she brought it up because she didn't. I did not mean for it to be that way. I brought it up to try and help my argument about grace and mercy.

Did that all make sense for all of you out there is trying to lynch pin me here?

I think my eyes work....may need to get them checked.

It is appropriate to use this verse regarding idolatry. I am sure you will figure it out.

If indeed I am a "brother", what is the problem?

This is your cue, EB, to tell me how wrong I am, and that hell is waiting for such as I.
