I think she is the ex wife now.
She put it out to the press.
I think she has an axe to grind.
Happens all the time...sour grapes because she can't be the "president's wife" if he makes it??
Only in America!

If she didn't... it all sounds strange. Because it's my understanding that Newt filed for the divorce. If she was so upset about the open marriage business... why didn't she file for divorce? It's also my understanding that she contested, requesting that the judge not grant the divorce.
If the above is true...
Was it a "forgiving love" for her wayward husband... or did she just not really care so she could continue having the perks of being his wife?

Re: Perry Out, Gingrich Open Marriage
Also... it's sad that all the mistakes of a dying relationship committed over 10 years ago are fodder for the media today. One poster had a point. Newt has confessed that he sinned and has made mistakes. I wish him well, I still think he has the best policies, but I don't think this one will win him any political points.
Romney is having a hayday with him. Imagine if it were Obama. Oh well... for those who don't like Romney... there's always Santorum.

LOL!
I was very honored to have worked with the Perry campaign. He is an awesome gentleman and Governor of the great state of Texas. Just a totally awesome family. We love them!
All I have to say is that it is the Tea Party and the GOP Establishment who failed. Had they not thrown out the best candidate over some silly debates then we could have united behind someone who would really change our country.
Texas Monthly has even stated that Governor Perry has moved Texas so far to the right that the Democrats have no leg up for years to come. He did what he said. He is not a flip-flopper. I am so proud of him.
If Sean Hannity ever says anything nice about him now, I will personally slap his nasty face. Just sayin'...
I will be leaving the Republican Party and re-registering as an Independent. I am done with the Republican Party. They don't really want anything in this country to change. I should have listened to tstew the last go round.

I endorse no candidate. As an Independent I won't have to align myself with a political party or political ideology. I can vote my choice of candidates or issues. The Independents in this country now outnumber the Republicans and Democrats.
The straw that broke the camel's back, although I have been edging this way for a while, was when the Evangelicals met in Brenham, Texas this past weekend and wouldn't endorse Perry ONLY because of this early debate performances. Their decision was not about governance or policy. Just simply amazing. Michael Reagan even said that it was political and that Perry should have won that vote.
So, now look at where this country stands. Shallow decisions. Just amazing. What a bunch of idiots.

Re: Perry Out, Gingrich Open Marriage
Perry dropping out has changed nothing. He really was not on the radar for a few weeks now.
I am very optimistic. Gingrich or Romney either one can and will beat Barry.

You know why Governor Bobby Jindal will not be endorsing another candidate in the primaries now that Governor Perry is out? It is because HE is a true conservative. Kudos to him!
They told Governor Perry to endorse Newt so that they could slow down Romney. Too bad he had to do that as part of the process.

But since Perry did endorse - he is not? I would prefer Santorum, Jindel, Rubio, or Perry over Newt or Rommy. My my guys usually do not win... LOL!
The fact is I will certainly be voting against BHO.
