You know even early Methodists during the time of Wesley experienced speaking in tongues. Are you saying it is not real?

So did early Mormons, and so do some Hindus. Are their tongues real?
I haven't said whether tongues are real or not. I'll give you my opinion on this matter, if you really want me to.

It sounded snide to say "
don't despair for me"? I didn't intend it that way. Didn't even mean to imply that he
was despairing for me. Thought my comment about the JWs' chances would make that clear.
Was it snide to ask you if something I concluded from your post and what I thought I knew about Apostolic teachings was correct?

What does the bible say? I keep stressing this point and you keep saying that's all you are doing but these discussions really do seem to hinge a lot on emotive appeal

Perhaps some of the questions I have asked have an emotional aspect, such as when I asked about my grandma's eternal fate. But you people make broad
general statements that, if true, can have a huge
specific emotional impact! Do you believe what you say, or not? Do your generalities apply to specifics, or not?
Did you see my post about whether I was a troll? Going to respond?
