Acts 2:38 in 2007

Then Peter suggested unto them, repent -although it is completely unnecessary, be baptized however you want to - in order to keep an out-dated tradition alive, and eventually God may baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

A powerless message from a powerless church.

Sounds like what I have been hearing.

What shall we do????????????? To the AFF forum

1. NOthing God has done it all you do nothing!
2. Accept Christ by faith and you are Heaven bound nothing else
3. All men will be saved Paul is like Hitler
4. Repent thats enough now if you ever get around to it be baptized that would be nice and if you want to be cool get the Holy Ghost but don't sweat it.

Then some of us just repeat the SAME answer Peter gave the multitude without commentary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

What I don't understand is when did we start to pick and choose what we wanted out of the Bible???? Whatever sounds good, then I'll do it....If I don't agree with the Bible, I'll just skip over that part.

yep, Dear Lady, you've assessed the situation correctly.
Don't bring the Bible into this. EGAD!!!!!
That might offend someone, so lets be inclusive, and tolerant.

I glad to be numbered with the church and ministry that could just quote the passage just like Peter spoke it without commentary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TB-Dan and crew would need Calvin's Institutes- Luther's Commentary-Southern Baptist S.S. Quarterly-Magee's Safari thru the Bible-Billy Graham's sermon titles-and fourteen more lexicons to explain Peter didn't mean what he said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But we can just quote the SAME answer how refreshing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
