Blessed
I was raised in Bro. Holmes' FPC in NLR, AR(Arkansas) till the age of 13. I was convicted at 8 or 9 and spent many nights in the summer of 01 praying knowing that I needed to be saved. I was baptized by Bro. Nathan Holmes sometime after that time at Camp Harmony. Camp Meeting that year on August 6, 2001, I received the Holy Ghost. I wish I had known how much I needed that experience more. After the age of 13, I spent 1 year in Northeast AR up in Paragould at the Lighthouse Apostolic Church. I then moved to Southeast TX where I was blessed to be in Bro. Duplissey's which became Bro. Homer Looper's church in Silsbee, TX. I was just blessed last night in Bro. Burgess' church here in CO Springs. I've been going since 2015 although not as faithfully as I should. I made up my mind at the beginning of this school year that it would be different. I made it last Sunday and this Sunday. I'm in USAFA, and this hinders my attendance a bit. Training and classes.
God has kept me around the truth continually and kept my friends and family so that I have never been far from him no matter what struggles and how long I went without church. From Silsbee, I enlisted in the USAF at the age of 19 and was sent to Scott AFB after my training. I wasn't the most faithful at that time in my military career, but I attended a few churches on occasion and went to Bro. Townsley's church once to hear the Alvear's would be attending. I knew better than to pass up that service and made sure that I was there to see them. A little over two years at Scott AFB and then I was accepted at USAFA. I've been here 2 years and have 2 left. I'm excited to have like-minded people to speak with, and I'm currently doing my best to find Bro. Danny Perdew's albums (Broken, Dreamer, & Whiskey[his mule is named whiskey]).
That's my short story. Anyone who knows me will be able to vouch for how much I like to talk.
