The IRS Chief should be impeached or fired. The person who defied the court order should see jail time. The consequences for the cover-up need to be greater than what the consequences would have been for whatever crime they were trying to conceal.

Different situation.
The emails this time have nothing to do with the emails last time.

There was a clear court order in place and the court order was defied. The consequences for this needs to be severe, once they figure out who all is involved and at what level.

This has nothing to do with the Lois Lerner fiasco.

It shows the total out-of-control culture within the IRS.
And their feeling that they are above the law.
That agency needs torn down and rebuilt.
Much like the air traffic controllers under Reagan.

Just goes to show the level of lawlessnes in this country is out of control.

The IRS needs to be deconstructed with a flat rate tax instead.

I would support a flat tax, I am just unsure of the burden it would place on low income wage earners. Many people look anticipate and depend on their tax returns coming in every year.

In some ways, the tax return has become a stabilizing point in the national economy-- for the low wage earners and for wealthy investors.

obama and the Dems are always whining about being fair. Fair share, etc. A flat tax would be a fair tax. Everyone taxed the same % regardless of income.

Of course, the dirty secret is the Dems would never allow this because it would really hit their voting base. The rich are the ones paying taxes. The middle class and poor are the ones getting $5K+ refunds for paying barely anything.

Investors and other wealthy people and especially CORPORATIONS receive nice refunds too.
