Unfortunately. This is going to turn into another 2012, where the Republican candidate was whipped, bloody and weak when it came time for the general election. Were I a Democrat, I'd be very happy with the crowded Republican field. The chance a Democrat will be elected President increases with every Republican candidate.

They are making the case of being diverse with only 3 choices on the other side. The news of so many people running is dominating the media. All eyes will be watching who gets the nomination - interesting horse race. Lots of new contributors and bundlers, along with the big backers, for the GOP this go round.

Perry might be the dark horse in this race. when he was indicted I predicted that not only would he win the case, but that it would wind up making him look like a hero ans propel him to a political comeback. Everybody forgets that Nixon was written off in the 60's and then suddenly he wins the Presidency in '68.

News today that Perry's campaign has stopped paying staff in SC and has only raised $1 million for the campaign.

Will he be the first to drop out of the race? Hard to run a campaign if you don't have money or much donations coming in.
