No Stand Down Order at Benghazi
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireS...ghazi-24507933
What a surprise. Wonder what other cover ups they will find? Are we ready to let those who have died there rest in peace and stop trying to politicize their deaths?

Re: No Stand Down Order at Benghazi
Old news. This came out in Feb. as a matter of fact the Republicans stated this in their report.
"A report by Republicans on the Armed Services Committee recently declared: “There was no ‘stand down’ order issued to U.S. military personnel in Tripoli who sought to join the fight in Benghazi."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...n-on-benghazi/
At least some in one political party can publish a report that reverses something they said/believed.

Re: No Stand Down Order at Benghazi
I believe Gregory Hicks, who was directly involved in the situation.
Quote:
(video imbed)
“They were not authorized to travel,” Hicks said in response to questions from Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) Wednesday. “They remained in Tripoli with us. The medic went with the nurse to the hospital to — and his skills to the treatment of and care of our wounded.
“How did personnel react to being told to stand down?” Chaffetz asked.
“They were furious,” Hicks said. “I will quote Lt. Col. Gibson, he said, ‘this is the first time in my career that a diplomat has more balls than somebody in the military.’”

Greg Hicks was the top deputy for Chris Stevens. He is on record, under oath, testifying that a Special Forces team was ready to fly (C-130 transport plane) from Tripoli to Benghazi during the attack. He testified that they were told not to board because they didn't have the authority to proceed.
I heard him say it myself. I watched the hearing.

As much as I dislike him, McCain uses this break to hold several town halls and talk with the people. Jeff Flake does the same, as do most of AZ's members of Congress.
