Re: What to do with your old TV set....

Are such model TVs even manufactured any longer? Me thinks that would be kinda difficult to do with a flat screen! lol

Flatscreens, in 20 years (give or take), will become the digital picture frames like we see today with scrolling pictures on them. Only we'll see big 48" and 52" TVs displaying various family pictures.

Seems like many people are either dropping down to handhelds or iPads for the entertainment these days. Why not?

Why not? Because the experience of watching on a handheld vs a big screen High Def tv or projector is the difference between night and day.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

This is why we got a new Samsung 59 inch plasma a couple of months ago. Our 47 inch looks just puny now!
