A hunger for more of God is growing rapidly at the First Pentecostal Church in Slidell, La.
A deep groaning within is building in the body causing holy living to become acutely deepened in individuals.
A hunger for more instruction in the word along with a deepening awareness to reach the lost is swelling.

REPENT (the LOST must UNDERSTAND the reason they must repent) AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU (EVERY LOST person must HEAR the gospel, every saint must witness) IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST (there is NO OTHER NAME, no other choice, no other option) FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS (the LOST must KNOW what sins they have committed) AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST (the LOST too will become a WITNESS and not be ashamed to run and tell what Jesus has done)
I used to go that Church 45 years ago when Bro. Fred K. Hyde was Pastor and still there when Bro. Mack Sterling pastored. That church was a very special place for me. I am so glad to hear this good news.
I didn't see that. I have not been on here for a long time.
Still, I would love to know how everyone there is doing.

Donald Bryan has been the pastor there since 1983 - awesome man, and a personal friend. That's a great church.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the information.
Like I said, that is the church I went to as a young lady and I know that most if not all of the people I knew there are probably not there anymore.
Still, to me that was my home church and it has a special place in my heart.

No problem. Maybe the original poster will see your post and update us!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
