Do Most People Manipulate???????????
Do you think most people manipulate or can there be someone that completely does not manipulate at all?
Is manipulating always bad?
Example:
If I say to my daughter, no you cannot have that dress and she pouts out her bottom lip......I end up buying the dress.
Is that not manipulation on her part? Is that evil or bad?
Would I think less of my daughter for doing this?

Well I don't manipulation, I say what I feel. This does not go over well, so I'm not well like by many here, but that's cool~

I don't think there is a person alive who doesn't or has never manipulated in any way. Manipulation doesn't have to be negative. Manipulation is lot like influence.
Personally, I desire to have an influence and make a difference.
Do I manipulate? You bet I do! I just hope that I don't do it selfishly.
I even manipulate here on AFF. I try to make a difference by getting people to think and see things from a different perspective. They don't have to agree with me, I just want to help them to see things differently.

Manipulation:
- The act or practice of manipulating.
- The state of being manipulated.
- Shrewd or devious management, especially for one's own advantage.
- Exerting shrewd or devious influence especially for one's own
advantage; "his manipulation of his friends was scandalous"
- The action of touching with the hands (or the skillful use of the hands) or by the use of mechanical means [syn: handling]

Synonyms: These verbs mean to influence, manage, use, or control to one's advantage by artful or indirect means: manipulated me into helping him; exploits natural resources; maneuvered me out of one job and into another.

I think when you put someone in a position such that they can only answer a question in the way you would have it answered, you are manipulating.
For example, what would you rather, see things my way or to be roasted over a fire by a bunch of pigmie canibals?
Extreme of course, but you get the point.
One not so extreme? Do what I do so I can approve of you or you are no longer part of our community/body/social group.
