Who will you fellowship with?
Now, I don't ask this question in the political sense. Such as a pastor officially "fellowshipping" with people he or she does not agree with, but rather I ask in a much more personal way.
Do you have friends who are sinners to the core?
As a pastor would you invite a prostitute over for dinner?
Would you invite a gay co-worker? (Such as my immediate supervisor)
Would you GO to either of their homes?
How about spending an evening with a man who did you great harm in the past?
....Or left your denomination?
I am really curious.

Aquaintances, yes. Friends, no.

We're not pastoring now and I never knew any prostitutes when we were. I would probably be more likely to take them to a restaurant.

Depends who they were.
Would you GO to either of their homes?
Depends on the situation.

The people who did me great harm are pretty much in the UPC. I would probably go out with some of them.
I am really curious.

Yes, most of the friends I socialize with are not members of my church. They consider themselves Christian.

Not a pastor
Would you invite a gay co-worker? (Such as my immediate supervisor)
Sure, I have had gays at my home before. I am becoming less tolerant of the lifestyle, because I feel there is a spirit connected with it.
Would you GO to either of their homes?
It would depend on the circumstances

I would hope I could be kind and courteous to someone who had done me harm. But I would not go out of my way to seek them out.
....Or left your denomination?
I have several close friends who have left my denomination.
I am really curious.

Hope this helps your curiosity!

Do you have friends who are sinners to the core? Yes. Good people just not saved.
As a pastor would you invite a prostitute over for dinner? If I knew one maybe I would. I would make sure my wife was okay with it first though. That could end up being a strange situation. Oh and ,if I were a pastor.

Does he or she have to be a co-worker. My best friend growing up is gay and yes he has been to my house for dinner. I also have a very close family member, not a brother or sister, that is gay and yes they come to dinner and I go to their house for dinner, or I have in the past, now that I live in a different state it is a bit difficult
Would you GO to either of their homes? I have in the past.
How about spending an evening with a man who did you great harm in the past? If that person had asked for forgiveness probably but since the two who come to mind have not and I do not live near them most likely not ever gonna happen.
....Or left your denomination? Yes I have and still do.
I am really curious.

hope that answers your questions. =)
I think if we only allow ourselves to fellowship those like us then we are not doing as Jesus taught us to do. We are not following His example. We can be in the world but not like the world. INSULATION not ISOLATION.

Why post for myself when I can just say Ditto to this one. That's about it in a nutshell for me.

What would be the other option allowing these folks the privilage of going to hell?

Well, the other option held by many is to ignore (with a grand florish) the sinners of the world, thus hoping to appear more spiritual to their brethren.
