Obama's First Two Years as President

Let's take a little peek back in history at the campaign of one William Jefferson Clinton in 1992. Clinton, a Southern governor, schooled at an Ivy League university, a Rhodes scholar who traveled to the Soviet Union while at Oxford and protestd the Vietnam War, and married to a very liberal and radical Hillary Rodham, when running for the presidency, moved to the center. He distanced himself from controversial figures. He spoke of a "middle class tax cut". He talked like a moderate. He espoused some middle of the road views. He struggled through a lot of controversy that surrounded him and his years as AR governor, but with the help of Ross Perot prevailed in the general election and became our 42nd President.

With the Democrats controlling the Congress, there was no opposition to govern the way Clinton desired. What did he do? He immediately began to weaken our military (which he had said in writing once that he "loathed") by turing it into a social experiment dropping the ban on gays in the military. When the political fallout got too intense, he compromised and established the "don't ask, don't tell" policy that exists today. By the end of his presidency he had so weakened our military and undermined our intelligence network the stage was set for 9/11.

He and Hillary immediately began to move toward socialized medicine. The whole effort was a debacle, but the seeds were planted. The incrementalism of liberals was put into play here, and now this idea is fully embraced by a lot Americans without them truly understanding what this will do to our economy and healthcare system.

Clinton and the Democratic Congress passed the highest tax increases in history. If not for the explosion of the internet age at the same time, Clinton's years as president would not be remembered as ones of prosperity. Those years were prosperous not because of Bill Clinton, they were in spite of him. The promised "middle class tax cut" never happened.

Many other unseen and unheard things were done in those years like the apppointments of very radical and liberal judges throughout our justice system. There was the placement of very liberal people throughout the inner workings of all of the executive branch's bureaucracies that ended up in many cases becoming life long government employees that will affect the direction of our government for decades.

What was the result? Clinton weakened himself politically so much so that the Republican Revolution was birthed and the GOP took control of the House and Senate for the first time in 40 years. The remainder of Clinton's presidency was spent moving back to the center for political expediency and battling the Lewinsky scandal. He was able to appoint two very liberal justices to the Supreme Court: Ginsberg and Souter.

Remember that less than a year ago Obama was a member of the Trinity Church of Christ. He was a member for 20 years. He claimed Rev. Wright as a mentor and said once the controversy surrounding Wright emerged that it could not make him disown Wright anymore than he could disown his own grandfather. He later disowned Wright because it became politically impossible to remain loyal to the man. He also withdrew his membership with Trinity.

He had a 20 year relationship with Bill Ayers, the most radical of radicals. We hae heard the history and the connections. Yet Obama has done much to distance himself from this man. Obama and his camp are very defensive about this. Why? If there was no relationship there, what's the worry?

Obama is connected to and has had relationships with very liberal and radical people, but suddenly those ties that go back decades have seem to be cut and nonexistent.

Now he promises to give a tax cut to 95% of Americans. He has never explained what kind of cut. If I pay a penny less in taxes, technically I'm getting a cut. He has never explained how much of a cut we are supposed to get. He promises that the healthcare plan he proposes will not be government mandated, or socialized medicine. He promises that the tax increase will be on only those who make $250,000 or more and that most small business will not be affected. He promises to be strong fighting against Al Qaeda. He promises to listen to the commanders on the ground. He promises we will leave Iraq with dignity.

But the company he has kept over the years are people who loathe the military, loathe America's national sovereignty, loathe the wealthy, loathe tax cuts, loathe captialism, loathe free enterprise, loathe America's Judeo-Christian history, loathe Christian morality, loathe creationism, loathe the pro-life movement and loathe people of faith.

If the Dems control the Congress after the election, what will there be to stop Obama, if elected, from pulling off the mask, and being who and what he really is? NOTHING.

If we thought Bill and Hillary were lefties, Obama's presidency will make them look like William F. Buckley, Jr. and Phyillis Schlafly.

The first two years of an Obama presidency will be a stripping down of many things that preserve America's greatness and undoing many of its time honored virtues and institutions.

Don't let eight months of running for president fool you into thinking this eloquent, sharp looking, cool character will be the "CHANGE THAT WE NEED". I'm afraid he will most likely change everything that we need.
