What version and Bible do you use, Why?

I have KJV Interliner Greek/Hebrew. I love the lexicon and it is keyed to Strong's. His footnotes offer a lot of historical data and interpetation.

I use KJV.... It is what I was raised on, and have no desire to change really.

It depends. Isn't that always the lawyers answer?

My least favorite is my NIV, my favorite is a toss up between my Peoples Parallel which has the KJV and the NLT, the NLT is my favorite translation. My other favorite is I have a Greek/Hebrew Study Bible that has a small lexicon and Strong’s definitions for key words.

I like NIV, American Standard, and The Message.

I rarely pick up my NIV anymore unless I want to use the concordance. I mostly read the Message because you can actually sit down and read it. Most of the young folks my age seem to like the Message too.

If the KJV was good enough for Paul, . . .

I have a problem with the more dynamic translations. I prefer the ESV. It has the essentially literal philosophy and accuracy of the NASB and retains the beauty of the KJV. I also use many other translations along with the Bibleworks software.

All time favorite would be KJV because we go back so far together. It's what I read for many years after I got saved in 1955 at the age of 17.

I've read a few versions all the way through, and I have read from and still read from many versions.

I'm not familiar with ESV?

I use many translations along with Bibleworks software as well.
