I heard a tought preached on this verse of scripture many years ago.
Isa 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;..
Now when God formed man of the dust of the Earth he the first time he didn't just speak him into Creation, it says he formed man out of the dust of the Earth
and "Breathed" into him the breath of life and man became a living soul.
The Bible says that he is he is the Potter and we are the Clay.
Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Jer 18:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Jer 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
He is the Potter we as new Creations are on the wheel again to be shaped not so much physically, but Spiritually into a new creation.
The potter uses his "hands" sprinkling water whenever the clay needs it to help it to be fashioned into a vessel fit for the master.
Now if the Man from Gallilee is the Potter and he is using his hands, would it not make sense that if he had nail prints that as he was fashioning the vessel
that drops of his blood would be co mingled with the clay he was working on?
Drops of blood, for our iinermost fears, for our innermost doubts, for our innermost hurts, for our innermost longings, for our innermost healings.
Be assured that God knows where you are at. I may not, but he does.
You are graven on the palms of his hands.
I don't know if you will see anything in this, maybe it was just for me and I needed reminding.
God Bless!
Ron
BTW I am trying to repeat the message from memory-I may have forgotten some.
