Re: Focus

Our church in California is known for having the longest running ACTS class in this State....it's been about 12-13 years now. There are a lot of people that come and go but this city is being reached by the community service of this program.

Young at Heart... ministering to the young at heart age 50+ in the church and community. A branch off from this also involves a nursing home ministry.

As For Me and My House.... Marriage enrichment ministry...

Front Line Ministries.... age 12 & up-- keeping the youth in the community involved through a Tuesday night youth service & fun night... and Sunday evening after service fellowship. We serve a refreshments after the services, open up the gym for playing basketball, etc... First service had 40 in attendance.... Second service had 80. Since then we've had at least 70 - 90 in attendance for each youth service, and had several receive the holy ghost.

We're working on a program of pairing up the youth with the senior citizens in the community that need help. They'll be doing yard work, taking them on errands, etc... Before I attended the church, they had something similar years ago-- called "Summer of Service".. We're gonna have to rename this program, because we want to continue it to be a year round thing.

Power Source -- Kids church for kids ages 5-11

High Voltage-- Kids church for kids under the age of 5...

Camp Yadah-- Summer Youth Camp for kids age 8 & up. For info: www.campyadah.com

We have also built an arena on some property behind the church. This is used for horse shows, rodeos etc that are reaching the "cowboys" in this area.

Also there are special services held like Friend Day, Baby Dedication Sunday, All Nations Sunday and others.... which draw in quite a few visitors. Friend Day is coming up May 4, and we're expecting 350-400 to be in attendance on that day.

Also, visitor information is ALWAYS followed up on without fail--more than once. People WILL return if they are made to feel that they haven't been forgotten after they walk out the church door after the first service they visit.

I was talking to a man at church yesterday who told me that he was raised in a pentecostal church, and had the holy ghost when he was younger. He'd drifted away, and gotten out of church in his early 20's. His wife had received the holy ghost the first time she visited our church in February at an event that was sponsored by the As For Me & My House Couples Ministry. A few services after that, he came with her to a service. He's only missed one service since that time when he was sick. He told me that they'd visited several pentecostal churches in the area before they visited our church. NONE of those other churches did a visitor followup. It was the fact that our church followed up on the information that made him want to come back again.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned everything or not... our church website is under construction, so I can't refer to it to help me remember everything...

Re: Focus

I suppose our church is best known for the most vibrant kid's ministry in the city, and our community service projects like free school supplies, blankets, groceries and such.

Re: Focus

Wow this is a hard one to answer. What is our church known for?

1.Its outreach... We have went from 100 10 yrs ago to over 1000

2.Its multi cultural standing in the community.... We have within our church a Korean Daughter work, African daughter work, Spanish daughter work, Indian daughter work. Not to mention endtime ministries also

3.We are known as the Revival church in our city and communities nearby. We baptized over 170 last year and are well on our way to passing that this year as we have baptized at least 1 person new each service and in some even as many as 10...

4.We are known for our awesome childrens ministry. We do not have a sunday go by that our kids arent having the most holy ghost filled power hour I have ever seen and we usually have at least 1 or 2 little ones getting the holy ghost each week also!

5.We are known for our Salt team... Students Achieving Leadership (dont remember the T lol) They lead our power hour and they lead most of the youth and childrens activities. They are a group of our youth who feel they are called to the ministry ages 12-28 and they work together as a unified body to do outreach for the young . They also head up our vacation bible school. They rock!!!!

6.We are known for our wonderful youth group!!! We have an awesome group of youth! They rock! They are the most awesome group of about 175 kids you will ever meet! All on fire for God.. There is nothing more precious to see than when 1 youth goes to the altar be it in the middle of service or at altar call.. 1 is there... the other 175 are there too praying with them!

7.We have youth church one Sunday a month. It was last night. Those kids sure know how to bring in the presence of the Lord. They started out singing our youth choir is amazing (will cover them next) and the presence of the Lord was so strong it was just amazingly beautiful! God uses them mightily! To watch them worship is just mind boggling! They have it!!! They really do!

8.And last but not least... Our awesome youth choir! They are so blessed with such beautiful voices and a desire to minister. They have been asked to go next November to Paris and Austria and sing! They deserve it they are so awesome!!!

So do we have an awesome church yes!

You mention the name of our church anywhere within a 50 mile radius and they can tell you exactly where we are! God has blessed us with an awesome ministry staff of about 20 awesome pastors and evangelists and one of the best pastors in the world! We are having Revival and God is moving here!

We also have purpose institute which everyone attending is enjoying tremendously

Endtime University

And our nursing home/ homebound ministries are wonderful and under our wonderful care pastors

Many Many other things we having going.. Too much to mention..

Women of Worth classes

Ladies Bible Studies 3 times a week

Girls of Grace and Boys of Honor for our Tweens

And it goes on and on... We have 2 or 3 things a night and 7 services on Sunday and are continually adding more as the need grows!
