Wanna read something good?
...well, read on....
First a confession... I've been avoiding bill collectors. Not because I don't want to pay my bills, but because I've been out of work since August. Finally got back to work last week. One bill collector has been persistent. Calling everyday. (Thank the Lord for "caller ID"). Another call today when I came in. Thats it. Time to face the music and beg for a little more time. So... I called back. She answered. Oh no... here it goes. "Oh, I'm glad you called... I want to discusss the $8000 you owe the neurosurgeon. Our records show that you have paid $300 but haven't made a payment since January. Well, I have been authorized to tell you that you do NOT need to send any more payments. You bill has been RETIRED in FULL." Not quite comprehending what a RETIRED BILL was (other than my Uncle Bill) I asked that she explain what that meant... She said that, in effect, the bill is PAID in FULL.
Do we serve an awesome God or what?

And to celebrate... I'm going right now and fix me a baloney sandwich and a glass of milk, and even have a piece of chocolate cake (that I baked all by myself last night- and its hardly burned at all). God sure is good to us!

God is good!!!!!! We had a couple of incidents like that when I was in the process of paying off all the bills from Walt's aneurism last year.
The nursing home where Walt stayed for over a month and a half has never yet billed us. I realize that our insurance paid MOST of their bill. But I also know that we owed them our part of it. I called, but they just said it was "in processing". Oh well. If I ever get a bill from them, I'll gladly pay it. If not, well, thank the Lord for His goodness to us!
When we got the bill from Dr Schwann, the man who did the surgery and saved Walt's life, the receptionist handed me the bill as we were leaving his first visit. She grinned from ear-to-ear and told me to "go ahead and open it". I did and almost fell over. His charge for that surgery was around $49,000. Insurance paid him something like $12,000. And he billed us less than $100. The rest he wrote off. He was not required to do that. As an out-of-network provider, he could have required US to pay the difference. But he didn't 
If that wasn't God-things, I don't know what it was.
