Infinate abyss of the Godhead

I am studying for a message and this quote came up concerning God's Faithfulness - What does he mean by "infinate abyss of the Godhead." ???

A. W. Tozer wrote - “All of God’s acts are consistent with all of His attributes. No attribute contradicts any other, but all harmonize and blend into each other in the infinite abyss of the Godhead.”

Maybe it is in reference to God/Godhead being a missunderstood thing. Of course we all know that God/Jesus/HG is all of the Godhead bodily, but He was also a burning bush. So there is the Godhead per se, Father/son/HG. He is not limited to God only being only three 'offices'. He can be your Lawyer, Doctor, Friend, etc. That may be what he was meaning.

It could be the depths of his greatness can not be accurately defined.

Seems that is what the last verse in the Gospel of John declared also!

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Refrain

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Refrain

Start with the end and work towards the beginning of the statement. The depths of the Godhead appear to be an abyss to the human mind as we are finite and limited. When we try to consider the attributes and characteristics of God we can formulate questions that bring mystery to those characteristics and attributes. However, all of those attributes and characteristics harmonize perfectly into the Godhead, which is so difficult for us finite humans to understand.
