Lone nut theorists and conspiracy theorists both often ignore evidence. There is a good case against Oswald. But there is also ample evidence that he was working for the government and may have actually tried to head off the assassination.
Two things really strike me. First, LHO had no motive to kill JFK. He admired JFK. If LHO truly did have Marxist leanings, then JFK would have been the last person LHO would have wanted dead since JFK was going to attempt to end the Cold War.
Secondly, the fact that Oswald was so quickly eliminated makes me think there was something rotten in Denmark. Jack Ruby was told by his lawyer to say that he killed LHO as an act of spontaneous, patriotic rage out of his love for JFK. The truth was, Ruby detested the Kennedys and many of his associates attested to that fact.
Personally, I believe LHO was set up, but he sure made it easy for that to happen.
