Heart of Occupy Wall St Protest

"Mr. President: Over 4000 peaceful protesters have been arrested. While bankers continue to destroy the American economy. You must stop the assault on our 1st amendment rights. Your silence sends a message that police brutality is acceptable. Banks got bailed out. We got sold out."


Am I the only Conservative that understands and agree with these sentiments?


I am grateful for the right to protest and for the protesters who exercise that right.

I don't criticize the hamsters who choose to abandon their wheel. I only wish I could abandon mine.

Peaceful protestors don't cause millions of dollars of property damage, violently shut down ports, riot and steal, deficate on police cars or abuse old women.

Have you watched the news? These people are getting exactly what they ask for.

It is unwise to judge a whole movement by the indescritions of a few morons, at least, that is what we were told when we lumped all the cracked tea pots in with the regular thinking American Tea Party members.



I think the quote that I have provided is worth thinking about, discussing.

I don't see thier concern as a solely Liberal or solely Conservative issue.

I have attended an OWS event too and the folks there were much more politically astute than the average Joe. No Fox News zombies there.

JD, what do you think the Democrats reaction would have been if the Tea Party had contained some of the elements/actions that have been displayed in OWS?
They would have demanded a federal investigation of the movement and would have threatened to bring conspiracy charges against them.
You have heard the GOP criticizing OWS, but they have also left it up to the local politicians to deal with it.
There you have the main difference between the two parties.
One threatens and one speaks freely.
I know whose side I am on.
