Re: Digital Watches.
I actually don't wear a watch anymore, but when I did, I preferred the regular timepiece and not the digital.

We shall utter prayers for you Scott ;-)
BTW I use my "pocket watch".....which doubles as a cell phone.

Re: Digital Watches.
Digital watches are of the debbil
because
you have a "number" on your wrist
and that is too much like the mark of the beast

Re: Digital Watches.
I almost forgot there are digital watches! But I guess my phone is just that.

I don't wear any form of ornamentation or jewelry. T-shirts and wrangler jeans are my "uniform" because the don't have buttons of any sort. Why spend $10 on a watch when you could have given that money to missions?

I ended up buying one for $2.00 or $5.00, or something. The watch is so cheap that when the battery dies you just throw the whole thing away. The concept struck me at the time as being funny enough to be interesting.
A couple weeks later while I was talking with a brother from a particularly "notorious" (then) UPC church in Kansas, he spotted my disposable watch and went off on this tangent about how "the preachers in Kansas" preach against "gold watches!"
I can see how an environmentalist might have been offended by my disposable watch - but it also caused an "ultra-con" to go through the roof because, I guess, the digital display and all seemed too fancy for holiness people. That reaction was even stranger than the concept of a disposable watch, for me at the time.
