DKB polices his Facebook Wall: Your Suggestions?
Latest FB status.
What should he do? Is tagging a matter of ethics?

I think so. It can come across as someone putting their approval on something if they've been tagged on it.

Re: DKB polices his Facebook Wall: Your Suggestion
I can understand that. Otherwise his page probably gets flooded with people tagging him in pics and videos.
Jeff has a fb page that he allowed all his forum members and newsletter subscribers to join, as well as his family/friends. He had so many, that he tried to deal with the traffic by creating a fan page. He ended up having to also create a second personal page for just family and friends.
I police my fb page, too. If someone posts something offensive to my wall, I delete it. If I get tagged in a picture I don't like, I remove the tag. Sometimes people will use tags to get you to look at something, and that's okay...but that's not really what the photo tags are for.

Yes, tagging can be a matter of ethics when the aim is to drive traffic to sites that are not even related to the person being tagged. Also, spamming his wall is uncool - anybody's wall for that matter.
To avoid the problem altogether he should close his facebook account, curl up in a little ball and do nothing more. Since that is unlikely, his status is appropriate, IMHO.

Many executives have their secretary screen their public email and forward it to their real private email. I dont see why his assistant can't screen his facebook wall once or twice a day.

That's another solution. And maybe this "post" was the words of that assistant trying to keep their work load at a manageable level?

You are such a stalker, Dan!
What should he do? What he feels he wants to do. That's his right because it's his Facebook page. And it's pretty sad that you have to admonish people to be ethical and respectful. Seems as though we would think of doing that on our own.

isn't that just a price to pay for popularity or stardom?
