Many folks in the pew, take the preacher's screaming to mean that the Spirit is moving on the preacher in such a way that its powerful, uncontainable, and without a doubt annointed coming straight from God. I feel that many folks in the pew would consider an assembly that lacks screaming in their preaching, to be "dried-up" and not very annointed of God. While at the same time, many preachers fear those in the pew thinking that way, so they scream. I think its a a common apostolic misconception in "our day".
Does anyone out there attend an assembly that does not have any screaming at all, or atleast is very uncommon, in the weekly preaching?

The church I attend seldom has any screaming.
Each week there is good, basic, one foot in front of the other, this will help you through the day tomorrow teaching.
Of course lack of screaming is one of the bad things that the UPC committee found about emergent churches (translated... house churches)
They found that the people simply had a intellectual ascent to the word... which, I guess, means that they believed the word that was preached.

I think I have yet to ever see a Sunday night service(if any service)with no screaming in the preaching, at all.

What's ironic about this is that everything they list as a negative about the "Emergent" church are things that I find are positive attributes... and I am not part of the "Emergent" movement or any other movement for that matter...

Yes sir... I feel the same.
And I am not currently involved in an "Emergent" church but I have a feeling this is in my future.

Sadly many would not consider it anointed and would find themselves describing the preaching of the Words of the Living God as... boring... if no one yelled or screamed.
