Urgent - From David Wilkerson's Daily Devotional

http://davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com/

I received the above information in a daily devotional
from David Wilkerson today! Just thought I would pass
it on.

Thanks Sis.

I'm just wondering, based upon something you said in another thread about "full salvation" and the Fundamental Doctrine of the UPC. How would you advise an Apostolic Pentecostal to approach people like David Wilkerson who have argued against baptism in Jesus' name and the Oneness of God?

Love him, bless him and give him the hand of fellowship. O I'm not Falla, but I am from the same tribe. lol

If I lived in NYC, I would definitely stock up as DW suggested. We trust in the Lord, but we are in uncharted waters.

LOL, thanks. I guess by definition - everyone has always been in "unchartered waters" to some extent. But we have been here before, in another sense.

My advice for NYC would simply be - Get outta Dodge! Upcoming disasters or not, that place, that whole region is just plain nuts in my opinion.

I agree, DW spends alot of time in NYC, I'm sure he feels the oppressive spirit in that place.

This is similar to those living on the East coast who call Rush thinking that they must be the only conservatives within miles of themselves. It IS oppressive to live in that sort of environment. I know myself what it felt like to live in the Madison, WI area for 5 years.

I would approach him with the love of God shed abroad in my heart by the
Holy Ghost.

There is a Bro. Mike B. on this forum who gave his testimony of how God led
him through many paths before he came to full salvation.

I heard years ago that David Wilkerson was no longer A of G. He has a mini-
stry on Times Square in New York among the down and out. Druggies, etc.,
etc. He pastors Times Square Church, and they have many outreaches to
the homeless, etc. etc.

Look at Saul of Tarsus. He persecuted the church but God knocked him off
his high horse on the Damascus road. Blinded him and then opened his eyes.
Is anything too hard for the LORD!

A few years ago I came in contact with an 88 yr. old retired Church of Christ
minister. He was the same age of my late father. I ordered some of his books
he offered free, but I sent a good donation to make friends. He lost his wife
and from time to time I would call him and order a little something to keep in
contact with him. He seemed so kind and had a gentle soft voice that remind-
ed me of Dad.

One day we were talking on the phone and he told me that when he was
growing up, his mother was a very strict member of the Church of Christ and
was so hard and set in her ways and anyone that wasn't just like them were
not saved. He said that it bothered him. So much so that he did not desire to
be so dogmatic and had endeavored to keep an open heart to at least be will-
ing to listen to people of other persuasions.

His conclusion was after 88 yrs. old was that, and his exact words were this,
"Nancy, the Baptists are not wrong about everything. The Pentecostals
are not wrong about everything, and the Church of Christ is not right
about everything".
I learned something by listening to that elderly wise
man that day. I learned that others are not always wrong about everything.

Just because at one time some people were SO against full salvation, does-
n't mean they will always be. God can and will open blinded eyes if people are
willing to see!

I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see!! Thank You,
Lord God for Your Amazing Grace!

Blessings,

Falla39

Bro. Pelathais,

Just wanted to say that the plan of full salvation was not something that
we learned from the UPC.
Long before our late father became licensed with the
UPC, they came to their conclusion of what full salvation consisted of. In other
words they had searched out the scriptures of what the Apostolic plan of
salvation was. They didn't get it from the organization.
He believed the
Acts 2:38 message to be the way to salvation. The death, burial and resurrection
of Jesus Christ.

Our late father told me many years ago that while it was not perfect, the UPC
was the best (organization) he had seen and that he had looked along time
before making the decision to be licensed with them. He was cooperative and
worked in harmony with the brethren. He appreciated the UPC. He left this pre-
sent world in Oct.1989. He was passionate for missions.

Our father looked to God for His direction but could easily work with others.
He was a peaceable man but if he believed something he believed it with all
his being. He has been gone 19 yrs. His heroes were not of this world. He
loved the brethren but he didn't idolize them. He was God's man.

What this world didn't give us, this world can't take it away!

Blessings,

Falla39
