NEWSFLASH!! Good News!!!!!!!

I just spoke with a certain board member how that a very prolific UPC pastor has not indeed turned over his church to his son in law, nor is he experiencing the effects of Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, or senility.

During a board meeting this past Tuesday, the pastor made a joke by writing the names of each member on a manilla folder and placing it at their seat like a name plaque, teasing he did so because people were saying he was losing it and he wanted to make sure he remembered everyone!

Plainly said, he is not retiring or resigning from any of his offices either...

I say this is good news!

This is not a good indicator as to whether someone suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, or senility. All these conditions can come and go in the early stages, they can seem normal one day, the next become a stranger to everything they know, best to let a doctor give the diagnose.

I spent the last 7 years of my life up until now working with Alzheimer's Disease, senile dementia and geriatrics. So I know full well the pitfalls of clinical Dx.

I am saying that what I have heard reported was that this particular pastor was exhibiting chronic presentation of some sort of persistent neurologic anomaly. I can report that people who work very close to him have never witnessed these signs.

Yes, all this is anecdotal but compared to the reports of him blumbering through most sermons and him resigning all his positions and offices, I would rather believe my source...another UPC minister and Pastor whom I trust implicitly.
