Multi-Organizational Meetings

Have any of you been part of, participated in, even helped to plan a multi-organizational event? Something that your church and other churches from different oneness groups all participated in? Something to help bring a little unity if even for only a day or week in your community?
If you have please share your experiences. I am hoping that we can plan one here in Phoenix, God knows it is needed and long over due.

If you want to bring unity, why be divisive by only focusing on "oneness" groups?

My former church in TN did it with several others from across the US. But the truth is I do not think it would fly here in PHX. Too many different convictions and such. The UPC church I go to has tried too and even other UPC churches do not come to the events. In the valley there are OP churches that you can not wear a watch with a metal band or a belt with a polished buckle. Then there are some that are more in the charasmatic frame that would never be accepted by the ultra cons. Here in the valley it ain't gonna happen, but I would LOVE to be wrong! I would participate I am all about Unity.

So John, are you going to warn me about some Churches to stay away from when we get there? LOL
Honestly we're not going to remove our wedding rings and my wife is not going to start wearing a veil (or dress -other then perhaps to church itself). I am sure there are some that wouldn't even let us in the doors.

The nice thing about our pastor is, even though the AAFCJ teaches veils, he has never asked my wife to put one on nor has he asked us to take off our rings.

Then the ones that will participate need to do it and forget the rest. If they do not want to participate they wouldn't have to. They will be the ones missing out on the fun and worship.

Re: Multi-Organizational Meetings

My home church in Mosinee has had special city events where we joined with a local Methodist church. My pastor and the theirs have often said they have "agreed to disagree" on many things but we've had many productive prayer sessions together.
