The disciples smoked pot??

I was reading my bible today. I came across John 6:10--And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down,in the number about five thousand (KJV)

I remembered our pastor telling us the story about a man who told him he could prove that Jesus and the disciple smoked pot. He quoted the above scripture. His theory was that whay would over 5000 people gather unless they were having a party and there was "much grass".
I suppose people can interpret the scripture any way they want.

Well, we all know people can make the bible say just about whatever they want.

Re: The disciples smoked pot??

what is ironic about that is I was just reading that an Israeli professor of psychology (go figure) postulated that Moses and the Children of Israel were higher than a kite on a powerful hallucinogen when they saw the lightning and fire and all that stuff.

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
