Question for preachers; Why do you allow or disallow members of your congregation to wear wedding rings?
No preacher should have such personal control over members of their congregations. Mind your own family and preach the Gospel, the apostles had a very, very short list of requirements for the Gentile believers.

I peter 3:3-5 ....let it not be......wearing of gold.......even the ornament
I tim 2:8...not with gold or pearls
When one takes 1 Peter 3 in context, it's speaking about how the attitude of the wife can save her unbelieving husband over what she wears, how her hair is done, or any ornaments she has on. It goes on to say that her attitude will save her husband who won't even listen to the Word of God!
It DOES NOT say that she shouldn't wear clothes, jewelry, or do her hair, yet that's what those who think that passage is speaking against jewelry claim it's saying.
1 Tim 2 agrees with Peter in saying that we should be known by our hearts, not what we have on the outside. It's NOT SAYING we should be naked, in a manner of speaking, or that we shouldn't wear anything but plain clothing, as some seem to be claiming.

Adorning of the Bride.....Rev 19:7-8.....arrayed in fine linen, clean and white.
God speaking to Ezekiel:
Eze 16:9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
Doesn't look like God is against jewelry to me!
