It appears that you had a great day with the kids and a day that will bring great memories tomorrow. If the Lord tarries, in a few years, you'll have your hands full with keeping the boys away from such a pretty girl. Your son looks like he has a lot of mischief in those eyes. I remember Ronzo's description of him while you were visiting Austin. Enjoy them everyday, because they will be grown before you know.

Thanks for the good report.

We had a great time indeed ... There is nothing like passing the time w/ them in the presence of the Lord

I want to thank God that I am now a resident of Texas where firearms are legal

The kid is a hot mess. God's way of teaching me patience, perhaps?

It was indeed an honor to meet her in person ... Danah was thrilled too...

For the record I bought a 4 pack of her CD's ... and am gleaning thru them as we speak ... There's a song entitled " Almighty " ... it has a Latin feel and I love it ...

Who is the trumpet player, Vick? Tiene sabor. He's got flavor.

I was glad to know my purchase is going to the orphanage her ministry built in Uganda ... talk about a wonderful thing!!!!

After service, we got to speak to her briefly and we took some pics ....

No ... He referred to giving of our kindness, charitable deeds in general, time and finances in general...

He focused on the three "when" statements Jesus made in chapter 6 of Matthew ... they are not ifs but whens ... they each have a promise attached to them.

2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Prayer

5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Fasting

16"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

The word, when, lets us know these things are expected of us. We were appointed unto good works. We were made to reflect our God.

Oh my, you do have the Adam Sandler thing going on.

Dan, those kids are ADORABLE and your daughter is outright beautiful!!!!

I think it is awesome that you are taking them to church not once, but twice on Sunday! As a single dad, you could find every excuse to not, but your efforts will not go unnoticed and unrewarded either.

So glad you were able to meet up with Vicki! I think the pictures are great!

Somehow I have the feeling that "Hurricane Aaron" is God's payback to Brother Dan for whatever shenanigans he put his pop through. LOL!
